Ryan Sayers has been taking photographs for about 10 years now. He started off originally at the age of 11 with a small Canon AE-1 film camera and the passion for photography ignited. Originallym, Ryan started off shooting just bird photographs, and soon his equipment improved to include a Canon 10D and a 70 - 300 mm lens. After another two years, Ryan began attending the University of Connecticut and became Photo Editor of the Daily Campus, Uconn's daily newspaper. During his tenure at the Daily Campus, Ryan got the opportunity to photograph many division I sports, including two NCAA Final Fours, one women's basketball national championship, two bowl games, and numerous other high level sports photography. During this time Ryan also began to shoot more Fine Art photography, and will graduate in May 2010 with a BFA concentration in photography. His senior year of college found Ryan working for UConn athletics as the uconnhuskies.com photographer. Over the course of this year, he has focused more solely on sports and hopes to continues shooting sports in the future.
